STACK at The Future of Timber – Rhino User Meeting 2025

On September 18-19, 2025, STACK participated to The Future of Timber – Rhino User Meeting 2025.

STACK at The Future of Timber – Rhino User Meeting 2025

Last week, STACK participated in The Future of Timber – Rhino User Meeting 2025 at Blumer Lehmann in Gossau, Switzerland, organized in collaboration with McNeel Europe.

This two-day event brought together architects, engineers, digital fabricators, and researchers to explore new perspectives on computational design, digital workflows and timber innovation.

Our team contributed in several ways:

  • Konstantinos Gavriil (SINTEF Digital) presented the latest work on Stackable rationalization and applications to robotic timber manufacturing" discussing the computational framework being developed at STACK and how it can be applied to timber fabrication workflows.
  • Shajay Bhooshan (Zaha Hadid Architects) presented Digital timber: a design-focused approach to mass timber and showcased Zaha Hadid Architects' past experience and future vision for timber architecture.

We thank Ana Ascic and Blumer Lehmann for the invitation and organization of the event, and also to the Rhino community for the engaging discussions, valuable feedback, and inspiring ideas for potential collaborations. Events like this are crucial for bridging research and practice, ensuring that our work advances the future of sustainable digital fabrication.
