Partners

SINTEF

Oslo, Norway

SINTEF is one of Europe's largest research institutes, with multidisciplinary expertise in technology, natural sciences and social sciences. SINTEF is an independent foundation that has created innovation through research and development for business and the public sector in Norway and abroad since 1950.

SINTEF Digital is one of six institutes that make up SINTEF. Represented by the Geometry Group and the Robotics and Control group at the Department for Mathematics and Cybernetics, SINTEF Digital brings expertise in geometry, computational design, optimization, machine learning, robotics, and automation. SINTEF is the coordinator of the project.

Technical University of Denmark

Copenhagen, Denmark

DTU is the leading technical university in Denmark, and the department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at DTU brings together expertise in mathematics, software engineering, artificial intelligence and data science.

The sections for Mathematics and Visual Computing will contribute expertise on elastica, surface rationalization for hot blade cutting, surface theory, volume theory, geometry, differential geometry, machine learning and computational design.

ZHA

London, UK

Working at all scales and in all sectors, ZHA create transformative cultural, corporate, residential, and other spaces that work in synchronicity with their surroundings. ZHA was an early pioneer and adopter of key necessities of innovation—systemic knowledge generation and collaborative design.

The Computation and Design (ZHA CODE) group is a practice-embedded research team which explores novel spatial and experiential affordances of new technologies in structure and fabrication-aware geometry creation, robotic fabrication, and industrialized construction. They incorporate these advances into workflows at ZHA through project-based AEC applications.

SOFTIC

Budapest, Hungary

SOFTIC is a Hungarian software engineering company with more than 20 years of experience in developing high-performance, mission-critical and R&D-driven solutions. The company specialises in 3D visualisation, CAD/BIM integration, cloud-native platforms and simulation-based engineering tools, and has contributed to internationally adopted products developed with Autodesk, Graphisoft, StruSoft and ConSteel.

Within STACK, SOFTIC leads the development of real-time design feedback, FEM-informed engineering validation and browser-based demonstrators. Its work connects STACK’s geometric research with structural feasibility and practical AEC workflows, while supporting collaboration between computational designers and engineers and making the project’s methods more accessible to researchers, educators and industry stakeholders.
