STACK at SIAM GD25

In July, our project STACK participated in SIAM GD25 in Montréal – an inspiring gathering of researchers advancing geometry and its applications.

STACK at SIAM GD25

In July, STACK participated in the SIAM Conference on Computational Geometric Design (SIAM GD25) in Montréal, Canada. It was a great opportunity to connect with the geometric design community and share our project's progress.

Our team contributed in several ways:

  • Konstantinos Gavriil (SINTEF Digital) organized the minisymposium on Industrial Applications of Differential Geometry and Geometry Processing and presented work on The Geometry of Stackable Shells.
  • David Brander (DTU) presented work on Designing with Elastica.
  • PhD student Ander Chocarro Salaberria (DTU) presented a poster on the Stackability of Freeform Architectural Surfaces.
  • PhD student Marc Isern Hacker (DTU) presented a poster on Modelling with 3D Elastica.

Konstantinos Gavriil.

We also invited a presentation from our sister project Archibiofoam. Taneli Luotoniemi (Aalto University) presented work on Generalizing Hinged Tilings to 3D.

A big thanks to the organizers and participants for making GD25 such a stimulating event – and for the opportunity to exchange ideas that will shape the future of geometry-driven design and fabrication.
